Organizing Local Collectives

Dearest John & Katherine,
I came across your Innerrave site and I was inspired by your words and
positive vibrations. I have been raving for many years and recently
discovered Buddhism and was amazed at the similarities to the rave culture.
Unfortunately commercialization is destroying the ideals of PLUR and the few
people who believe in it are losing hope wrapped up in the samsara of life.
I am currently organizing collectives of people who want to keep the
positive energy alive and continue to spread the love and unity of the vibe
and the meaning of plur.
I was curious to know if you currently have
chapters of individuals who share these visions and are striving to spread
this idea of enlightened education to the masses. I'm very interested to
join in or help create such an entity that would perpetuate enlightened
thinking and love to end the evil that is plaguing our world. I know there
are people just like me striving to make things better but floundering with
lack of leadership and discouragement in the face of adversity.
I hope that we can collaborate on some ideas to share this
enlightened state with others and share the vibrations of
love, unity, respect and peace.
I look forward to hearing from you both, take care.
S.L.U.R.P. (spreading love unity respect and peace)

Hi Dave
Good question! Katherine and I are also involved in
organizing locally. We are on the board of directors
of the Deep Red Collective, a non-profit society
registered here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Our goal is to host a safe environment with an uplifted vibe
for mature folks, really good house music, and a sense
of community. At the moment we have our own venue, Club Red
with yummy house music every Saturday and a variety of
styles on Fridays.
